11U FUTURES PROGRAM INFORMATION

VOODOO 11U FUTURES PROGRAM

This is a pilot program for Voodoo Softball.  We decided to put this together this past July and are excited to see it materialize.  This program will offer players an opportunity to get great skill, fundamental and technical development, all while not having to make an incredible commitment.

Our purpose is to develop players over an eight month period so they will have the skill set needed to prosper at the next level and attain any softball goals they desire.

This program offers approximately 70-80 hours of skill development from August thru April. It will run on Saturdays in late August thru late October from 3:30-5:30pm outside at St. Bernard's Softball Complex, 260 Summer Street, Fitchburg, MA.  Then it will then begin indoor training on Saturdays, October thru March, at the St. Bernard's Activity Center from noon to 2:00pm. In the spring the group will participate in 6-8 scrimmages as well as one travel tournament in late April/early May.

All players will receive a Voodoo jersey, player equipment bag, helmet, pants, belt, socks, hoody and more.

About our instructors:

Lilly and Julia Grebinar and Lynn Warren. These three Voodoo Softball veterans bring a wealth of knowledge to this program.  Between the three of them, they have over 30 years of softball experience, not only playing but being junior instructors in the Voodoo program for many years in all facets of the game.  They are all only 17 years old and could coach a high level team in the program right now.  Julia and Lilly are players are on our 18U Voodoo Premier team and have helped with softball camps, hitting events as well as assistant coaches in the program for many years.  They will be overseen by veteran Voodoo coach, Dawn Grebinar, who has a wealth of experience running practices and skills events in the program.

Voodoo Softball is offering this program for $1200, which when broken down amounts to less than $10.00 an hour after the equipment and uniform items are factored in. We are looking for players and parents who love softball, and are committed to this program.

Central Mass Voodoo Mission Statement

To create and maintain an organization that is focused on giving girls and young women the opportunity to learn and to play competitive softball.

As travel softball is competitive, CMV Softball recognizes an obligation to put together the most balanced and successful teams possible.  Roster spots are earned by our players each season.

We help our players develop their skills through consistent, positive and fun training of the fundamentals of fastpitch softball.  We also emphasize good sportsmanship and camaraderie, as we consider these to be core elements of any sport.

Our hope is that through the above, we will help each player attain the highest level of playing ability that they desire.
